Doped up on Wraith Crack...

Jul 05, 2006 12:41

Well, LF&CC was fun...
Got up before 6 on Friday morning to get picked up by cadiliniel's dad. Llinos took some film of me trying to say "Squee" in a serious voice, but I kept giggling.
train to London, blah-de-blah-de-blah. They but in the "Quiet zone" for some unfathomable reason, and we couldn't find a free table.
Met bunnyvon at the station, and met her lovely cousin Leslie. Then we went to her dad's flat, where we found the nice cool walls, cosmic_llin, bunnyvon, her dad and Leslie went to buy some food, then when Vonnie's dad left, we finished off our Tolga Safer birthday scrapbook, mainly with some fun 'artistic impressions' of him.
We went to Oxford Street to do some shopping, doing a quick detour to Regent's Street to deliver the scrapbook. Got some stuff for people's costumes etc. Then we went back to the flat and Yvonne made a stir fry.
Leslie went to bed, and the rest of us stayed up thinking up songs with which to start a sing-along in the queue, which led to the writing of the Wraith Crack song... We went to bed at around 2, then me and cadiliniel, who I stole from Vonnie, were talking until about half past about ships and stuff, until we finally went to sleep. Then we both woke up at about three again, for some bizarre reason.

Saturday, we were all up at five, getting ready and finishing costumes. Got the Tube to Earl's Court, and managed to get there by about 6:45, but even then we weren't right at the front of the queue. We didn’t succeed at the whole sing-along thing, but we did get a request for the Wraith Crack song!
Then, at 9, after much clock watching by Leslie especially, we were let in, and ran for all our VTs and talk tickets, getting all the ones we wanted. Then we got some "breakfast", and noticed that Rachel Luttrell was already there, so we got into her line and got our autos. She was absolutely lovely, but not very imaginative with her autos, as all we got was "To..." and her signature. She said me and Llin looked adorable in our costumes though, and loved Yvonne and Nia's black ops ones.
Then we moved on to fangirl Don S. Davis, who was equally as wonderful, and also liked our costumes. He wrote half an essay on our pictures, and put "General Hammond" after his own signature.
Can't remember really what happened next, we probably wondered around the stalls for a bit, until me, Leslie, Nia and Yvonne started to queue for our Elijah auotos...he was on his break, so we were waiting ages, and everybody cheered when he showed up. He was very brisk, but he was super busy, so it was forgivable, plus he did personalization’s, which we weren't expecting.
We collapsed near his signing area because we were so tired, and Leslie went off for a talk...Llin wandered over and Yvonne started filming random stuff and asking me about the price of cheese. She was trying to figure out how to turn it off when Jorge Garcia walked past, so she started squealing "Look! Look!" so he did, and he waved at the camera!
Although Yvonne was moving it up and down, so it wasn't the greatest picture...
Am assuming we had lunch at some point, and then we went to the Don S. Davis and Rachel Luttrell talks. Llin and Yvonne went to the Serenity talk, which I missed because it just said Nathan Fillion, and I didn’t know Alan would be there too. Don and Rachel's talks were great, although Don kept going off on a tangent and forgetting the question. Rachel was again really sweet and lovely.
I bought Samantha Carter dog tags at some point, can't remember when though. Then some of us watched the football on a TV that a guy on a stall had, until we got chucked out of the venue because it was closing, and we had to got to the pub round the corner to watch the penalties and shit.

Ordered a pizza for dinner, and I kinda fell asleep reading my book in mine and Nia's bedroom due to exhaustion and cramps.
When I woke up after about half an hour, sashavangenius had arrived! Nia and Yvonne were sat outside on deckchairs because it was cooler, and reported seeing some kind of weird cat/dog creature run past.
Leslie went to bed, and Vonnie and Nia came in due to being scared of the creature. We named it Catdog, and decided that there were several variations of it including aqua catdog (who goes "Blub"), sausage catdog and some very weird others that I can't remember right now. By then we were all terrified that Catdog would get us and eat us if we got off Llin and Sasha's futon, but Yvonne had to get up in case Leslie had been attacked. Then we decided that Catdog didn't like Americans, so Leslie would be okay. Eventually, at about 1, we managed to get to bed.

Sunday we were up at five again, although a bit slower. We had dissected bits of George the watermelon and some apples in Yvonne's bag to eat in the queue. Llin went and sat in the non-paid queue with Sash so she could make a wand and crown for Sash's Glinda costume, and Vonnie came over to keep me and Nia company.
BTW, Nia and Yvonne, the people in front of us were from Gateworld, and heard us talking about George. And one of them says that Nia reminds her of Michelle Rodriguez, or however you spell it.
In at ten, and I walked for my Alan Tudyk VT, because we were only like 10th in the queue, and I got number 3 then got talk tickets.
Queued up with Yvonne for her Nathan Fillion auto, and we were front of the queue when he got in. He was v. funny, and write "at last we meet" on her picture, and asked her what a hen party was. Also, he introduced himself to everybody, which was odd.
Then we queued for my Alan auto. He wasn't as fun as Nathan, but I love him anyway. He wrote "Keep flying" on my photo.
Met up with Nia in the Rachel talk queue, and then went to that and fangirled everything she mentioned e.g. CSI (even though I've never seen it) and Shakespeare, which Rachel seemed to find amusing!
Then Yvonne went back to get her Nathan auto redone, because all the ink was coming off. The ticket guy who was kind of mean earlier was nice and let her in the queue without paying. Me and Nia got really bored, because Nathan was on his break and taking ages, but it was amusing watching Alan draw on Nathan's poster. They'd been doing it on Saturday as well. We debated going to see Rachel because she had an open queue, but we chickened out then she went on her break anyway.
Nathan finally came back and redid Yvonne's thing, and added "Don't forget me" at the bottom! Then we went to queue for the Alan Tudyk talk. Well, Nia joined Leslie at the front of the Elijah talk queue, because Leslie had been there for about 2 hours!
The Alan talk was ace, because Nathan was there too, and they were both really funny, and Nathan seemed to remember almost everybody who he'd already seen!
Then we joined the Elijah queue, at the front with Leslie and Nia, even though the queue was massive. Some stupid frelling foreign woman pushed in in front of us and took the best seats. We were really, really pissed of, partly for Leslie, because by then she'd been there for FOUR HOURS! When she asked the woman, she said she'd been there an hour and there was no queue. Even though there was one going round the corner and round the next corner. So Leslie tapped on her chair through the entire talk, which was very amusing (the talk, as well as the tapping). He talked about Cube, which I squeed at very loudly. Why he talked about it I can't remember, since he wasn't actually in it. I think he'd just worked with the director.
Then we met up with Llin again, and went home. We were absolutely boiled getting to the station and aiting for our platform to be announced. We sat with tiggerthehobbit on the train, who kept us amused.
Then we were home by about eleven, when I collapsed on my bed and slept for nearly 12 hours!
