[After the failure in the desert, Kurtis feels a need to get something done right for once, so he's back to figuring out what to do with Medic.]

Klonoa, I know we haven't met before, but my name's Kurtis. May I speak with you?

Yes. Was there something you wanted to ask me?

Not paticularly, but I spoke with Adell the other day. He said I might enjoy speaking with you.

In that case, it's nice to meet you. Do you know why Adell said that?

Nice to meet you too. I was mentioning the prosthetic limbs I made back home when he mentioned you.

You made prosthetic limbs? I used to do the same thing. Were you able to create working cybernetic parts?

You did?! And yes, I did. Automail is a metal and wire based prosthetic. It attaches directly to the nerves so it is a fully functioning replacement for a limb.

That sounds very similar to our own, technology. Though sometimes we implant integrated circuits directly into the brain instead of connecting them to the nerves.

That's so cool! Is it dangerous?

It can be, but we've developed the technology to the point where success rates are nearly 100%, and recovery times are remarkably low.

Amazing! That's simply amazing! Could you tell me more?

[Congratulations. +1 Fangirl.]

Of course. The use of such implants can help the brain issue commands to a body to do things it wasn't previously capable of. For example, my old body contained rockets and weapon systems that a normal human body lacks, so brain implants were necessary.
