She pieced together truths (what he let her know about him) and assumptions (her projections of him, into the future) as she catalogued his face and counted their possibilities (compatibility, success rate).
She liked the images her mind composed---maybe too much.
Without shaking her head, she told herself Deans of Medicine did not believe dreams like that.
She wanted to believe his eyes were telling her something else.
She asked her question silently and turned to walk away.
When he was ready, he'd reply.
