about living in a "paradisiac" island
If I recall correctly, my first oceanic swim this year was on March 16th. The last one was on October 22nd. (and I still hope to dive in during Xmas Holidays). We have a looong summer...
Even thought the days started getting shorter, sunsets were very pretty as late as November. I was used to the golden redish colours of the Blackforest Autumn and was suddenly faced with the fact that, apart from some windy days and some leaves on the ground, there is NO autumn in the Azores. Still, the summer seemed to last a bit longer and...
By now, winter has settled in, or, rather, the days are cold-er and the humidity is felt within the bones and it's a bit painful sometimes.. It feels colder than at -10C in dry wetter, even though it's only 18C!
