Richard

got Thai with Jess for dinner. afterwards we were sitting downtown in the square, under a tree, when a homeless artist named Richard walked up to us and asked if he could draw our portraits. he was unassuming and story-full and entirely talented. after a few hours of smiling, we parted... and i feel quite full and good and appreciative of the universe.

this evening was one of those things... where we just happened to get an early dinner, and then happened to walk to the square, and happened to sit down under a tree that Richard would see us from. and in my eyes it's a lesson to me to get out more and just wander, because Good and Great Things Happen.

smiling is addictive... i found myself grinning at sleeping houses and parked cars when i was walking Rey tonight, simply out of habit'ed reflex imprinted from a string of hours.
