I don't call myself a Vegetarian but....

Hurrah - public post! I shall wait and see if this comment is screened... *g*

This was all very interesting too - I'm vegetarian, properly where I don't eat fish either (because they're not vegetables *g*) but I have lots of friends who are "pescatarians". It's always interested me how they see fish, if they're against eating animals - somehow not animals?

You were alot kinder to your husband than I would have been, I think - I'd have made us both veggie food, and told him that if he wanted to eat meat he had to make it himself! But then I grew up with men who could cook, and expected to be able to cook... And it sounds like your man worked it out eventually! *g*

Interesting to hear your thoughts on people being "labelled" as vegetarian - it does have so many different connotations that perhaps it is better to say "I don't eat meat"! When I took a group of school kids to France, many of them were vegetarians (actually most weren't, but found it easier to call themselves "vegetarian" than to have to explain that they only ate halal meat, or didn't eat beef) and we were always offered fish - I generally ended up with just chips, then!

ETA (Edited To Add) - hurrah, I'm not screened any more either! *g*
