The average was 100 becquerel/person.

In 1987, a year after Chernobyl, our average was 3000 becquerel/person.




It took them a week to notify us. Followed by the usual Soviet lies and "yea that was nothing, not that big a deal". The map above shows where I am from. This area suffered from the worst nuclear fallouts in all of Finland, mostly thanks to the heavy rains that week.

Even today, the Pirkanmaa/Häme area is contaminated to a certain degree. Our fish, mushrooms, berries. They will not kill us, but in the long run, we're all walking timebombs.




April 25th-26th, 1986. Never forget what they did not only to their own people, but to us.
