on the debate community, pocket garden, being one of the boys, and kilig factor
yesterday was great. had cross training at ateneo with dlsu and ads, and it was uber fun. i was prompt, as always, and everyone else was late. great. debaters are perpetually late, abbi. why do you never learn?
still it was great day. i envy ateneans for even having pocket gardens, at least you don't have to hang out by the walls of your campus to take a breather. it's weird to smoke with a bunch of strangers, but hey... it's a great way to socialize. while smoking, this guy who was with us in the pocket garden started to talk to us and apparently was a former thomasian turned admu prof. fascinating how smoking bonds people. :)
mabie: we're a dying breed.
maddy: i know! a lot of the atenean debaters don't smoke anymore.
me: i'm the only one i know who smokes among my batch.
maddy: that's great! at least there's someone left.
me: downside is, i won't be able to find any lighters when i need it when you guys are gone.
maddy: that's okay. here's a thought to get you by: you know, all good debaters are smokers.
wahahaha.... i enjoyed that convo. never knew maddy could be so... congenial. that was nice.

ed came by to say hey and was really nice to pick me and my team up from kfc only to bring us back to ctc and go back home. aww... ed is the nicest guy i know. in fairness, what he did was uber touching. practicing i guess, he's all geared to go for that girl he likes anyway. of course, these three crazy people above, cyris, jihan, and mabie had to act all weird at the backseat. ate cyris, i understand you like him and all for me, but he doesn't like me that way. that's it.

later on, gabe and ed picked me up again for coffee. met up with roman and jav at seattle's and later on, had dinner. goodness. i don't understand why i'm so much more comfortable with these guys. maybe god really meant for me to be a guy and my soul got in the wrong womb. somehow, i like wrestling these guys more than trying on cosmetics at the nearest boutique. werd.

am excited for thailand. i'm leaving on monday.
