Synopsis:
The human whose name is written in this note shall die. This note will not take effect unless the writer has the person's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people's sharing the same name will not be affected. If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the person's name, it will happen. If the cause of death is not specified, the person will simply die of a heart attack. After writing the cause of death, details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
Thoughts:
I'm sure everyone has been anticipating these movies for a long time now and probably know more about this movie than I do, but I'll still put up the info. I haven't read the manga that this is based on, but from the sound of it, it seems like it's a cult favorite. I don't know much about the movie other than the trailers and the above synopsis and I'd like to keep it that way until I watch the movie. Hopefully for the manga fans the movie will do the manga justice. I've heard people complaining on Kenichi Matsuyama being the character "L" because he doesn't fit the image, but I say, "Give him a chance! He's cute!" hehehe~ He was also in the movie "NaNa" and has a bit part in the drama "1 Litre of Tears". As for Tatsuya Fujiwara, I've only seen him in "Battle Royale 1+2" so I'm glad I'll be able to see him in something else.
Edit: both movies should be out on dvd by now with english subs. also, there is going to be a spin-off L movie sometime in the future. yay~
