Storm Work
Last weekend I had the opportunity to go on storm. First one as an apprentice! I was very excited to have to chance to go. But excitement doesn't do everything for your energy level. I was pretty damn exhausted and I had a terrible time driving the Line Truck. Plenty of fodder for my linemen to make fun of. I learned how to put a bump in some wire and return it to sag using a slack line set.
We only had broken wire to replace on this storm, nothing too advanced. Core is awesome. 'Nuff said.
The work week after that was pretty slow. Wednesday Thursday Friday provided many hours of rat killing. Still line work and some setting poles. Just more wandering and doing other stuff than usual.
I'll miss third step by a few hours on this report. Boooooo.
