those bitches.
so this morning, i'm up early, trying to get things done, and one thing on my to do list is to cancel my credit protector on my credit cards. these guys usually get me because they offer me something free (always have to take the free stuff, i'm in college). so, i call citi first. i've already tried canceling with them once, but then they sent me a gas card and cut my cost by 50%. so i thought, 'ok, i'll keep it for another month.' so then, i'm going through all my accounts, and i see that its still on there and so i call to cancel it today. granted, my last fee was only .42, i'm not too worried about it, but its still .42 i shouldn't have to worry about if i'm trying to cut corners. so i called them and they asked me why i had two different mailing addresses, and i told them my mom got divorced. so then they tell me that i will be credited two of my minimum payments since it was a 'lifestyle change.' so, basically they're giving me $20. wtf?!?!!? ok, i'm going to take the money because i'm poor, but seriously, just give it up. so then i call the Victoria's Secret one, its a lot more expensive, $9.99/month. once again, i was promised a free paper shredder. who doesn't need one of those. so i would have had to jump through all these hoops to get it, so i forgot about it awhile. so i called and canceled, and they didn't try to keep my business at all. just read me the benefits again. so i don't know. just wasted an hour of my life. awesome. great. fantastic!
