I got this portable DVD player for Christmas last year and it's pretty neat. It's not those fold out ones, but more like a really big CD player. I found it to be a decent alternative to listening to my iPod during work when I'm bored and/or sleepy.
So I bring an assortment of season DVD's or movies, and today I brought The Goonies. As many of you know, it's an 80's classic.
I showed it to my 27-year old coworker who sits beside me and he says he hasn't seen or even heard of it. I'm in shock. Then throughout the day, almost my entire department walked by my desk periodically and see the DVD case and praise the movie. Each time this happened, I'd turn to my Goonies-deprived coworker and say SEE, HE/SHE SAW IT TOO. Everyone else saw it. Literally everyone.
Also, the DVD has commentary of the original cast and sometimes the movie goes into picture-in-picture mode and shows the cast talking. It's really cool to see them in their present-day form all together. I didn't hear the name so I'm not sure if it's her, but the girl with the nerdy glasses in the movie is hot now.
