*Hangs self*
I'm certain nobody cares, but I absolutely HAVE to rant here.
So I have a Jack and 5 off-suit, and I limp in to see the flop. I have a top pair (jacks) and a flush draw. My friend makes a huge bet, which I raise even more, and he goes all in. It didn't take me long to call, I had quite a bit of outs and there was just way too much money in the pot to pass up. And so we flip, and I see my opponent's cards...
Pocket aces.
Still, I could have caught a Jack, 5, or any one spade and won this huge pot. Unfortunately, the aces hold up and I lose. THAT WAS LIKE $60 IN ONE HAND! I think that alone is more than I've lost in a whole day.
Anyways, losing that wasn't *too* bad. I mean, he had pocket rockets and who really stays in with J/5. But my peak of the night was having about $120 in chips. After that hand, and several bad hands after, I was in the biggest tilt ever. My tower of chips almost dwindled gradually to almost nothing.
However, I did a bit better towards the end and I ended up with $50 in chips, giving me a profit of $30. But still, a profit of $90 could have been so much sweeter...
Oh well, that's gambling for you :D
In other news, I start my graveyard shifts this week. I had a loooong weekend (starting from Friday afternoon till Tuesday night, when I go to work). This gave me FOUR nights to adjust to my graveyard sleeping schedule. I planned to stay up till at least 5am on Friday night, then 6am on Saturday, 7am on Sunday/Monday, which is probably when I'll normally sleep.
So on Friday/Saturday, I fall asleep at 2:30am, and on Sunday I fare a bit better and I sleep after 4:30am. Right now, it's 5:37am, so I'm doing a bit better. But still, kinda sucks. Tomorrow night, I'm going to be SO sleepy that it won't be fun. Stupid comfortable bed. I swear it's like a trap; you lie on it and it sucks you in because it's so comfortable. And I REALLY REALLY want to go lie down right now, but I WILL fall asleep.
Silent Hill opens this Friday. Should be a goodie.
