what's new in la vie en lil? well, as some of you know i got a job at the trendy restaurant/lounge Pop Burger, across from FAO Schwartz. tho i've been twice to train my first "real" shift is tuesday. tho i'm excited about the money prospects i'm a little nervous about being able to function well as a waitress. it seems to me that waitressing takes a lot of common sense, a resource i'm not rich in, but i'm gonna give it my best shot. i'm pretty good at being nice to complete strangers, however, so i think this will work in my favor.
today i went to the met museum by myself (sophie spent the weekend in LA to dance with this Russian folk group) and it was nyoiceee. i indeed saw the winne house AKA "dutch period room" and it was kewl, albeit small. i was kinda expecting the whole reconstructed house but it appears they only took certain "elements" from the original house, like furniture and shit, but it still is worth a look if and the met is donation only which means its freeee! i also saw THREE paintings of kaaterskill falls, one of the falls, one of the clove, and the other a modern interpretation by an artist born in albany! i also watched the sun setting on the roof cause it was so unseasonably warm which was beautiful.
oh and when i was leaving i found my first bag of weed on the ground in the big cit-ay! i think it was on park avenue actually. its not much, but atleast a hearty bowl pack.
hmm i wish i were cruising within the heart of the hudson valley/highlands with you guys, exploring and leaving a trail of bong smoke in our wakeeee. atleast this is an attainable wish!
