Ha! Which is, of course, not to say that I don't consider Arthur to be an occasional idiot as well, which simply makes him a perfect fit for Merlin. (And I meant that in a perfectly G-rated way.)

I loved this - Merlin's just utterly adorable and perfect, and I squeed over the way him, Morgana and Arthur get together for a pow-wow because they all genuinely care about Gwen. Plus, the last bit had me thinking happy thoughts again, in spite of the Gwen-Lancelot-Elaine thing.

I totally get what you mean -- Merlin & Arthur are just awesome together - platonically, romantically, snarkily. It really doesn't matter -- there's just something about the two of them hanging out that brings a smile to my face. And yeah, Arthur can be an idiot, but not when it comes to the really important things like Merlin. And, oh, say, Merlin XDDD

I'm glad you like this! It was very fun to write, especially the Morgana-Arthur-Merlin interaction. Because obviously their adult life will be just like their hectic teenage years! Also, yes, poor Gwen D: but I don't think Lancelot will be anywhere near Camelot for a while. His genitals life is at stake!
