The clock in Osaka's room read 11:59. She slowly fell asleep watching the swirling colors of the hour and minute hands. After a little while, she woke up to get a nibble of cheese for a late-night snack. She satisfied her hunger and went back to bed, noticing that her clock hadn't moved at all. It was still stuck at 11:59.
"No way!" Osaka muttered to herself.
Fearing that she was trapped in an infinite time loop, she lifted the clock from her desk and yanked it toward her, nearly falling flat on her back.
"Shoot…the darn thing was unplugged."
