[Admin] Claims List Purging, Phase One
Phase One of the 2008 Purging will begin tonight. All fandoms A-E with claims to be purged will be removed from the Claims List tonight. Claims in fandoms A-E that have updated or been claimed in December 2007 or January 2008 will NOT be purged.
To see the list of claims that will be purged (including purges for upcoming phases), please click here. This page will update regularly, so please check back often to make sure an active claim of yours is not purged by mistake.
If you feel that your claim has or will be purged by mistake, please comment to this entry immediately and cite a reason why your claim should not be purged. You will NOT be granted extensions if you have not updated or otherwise notified a mod since the purge announcement was made in December. The only exception for purges will be for those where:
a) the claimant spoke to a mod and was granted an extension/hiatus
b) the mods were unable to find the entries using the Memories or Tags, and the claimant assists us in finding them and therefore proving a claim is still active
Phase Two will incorporate claims F-J
Phase Three will include claims K-N
Phase Four will be for claims O-S, and finally
Phase Five will incorporate claims T-Z.
Part of the New Year's 2008 Purge BUT NOT part of the individual phases are:
* an overhaul of the tagging system, including the removal of unused tags, both for fandoms and inactive claims (pairings), as well as mod tags. This update will also include the alteration of all Theme List/Theme Number: Theme Name tags; instead of having one tag for the list and theme number, and another tag for the theme name, all elements will be combined into one.
* Simplification of the Rules, Links - A few rules will change, such as for the subject line. More information on this once the update comes about.
* Update to the Memories - Since we'll be removing all tags associated with inactive (which means both FINISHED/COMPLETE and DROPPED/INCOMPLETE) claims, anything else will go into the Memories. Claims that were made but NEVER worked on will have their tags removed and WILL NOT have a section of the Memories made unless someone else makes a claim for that pairing.
