We've gotten a few new requests lately, and I discovered something rather unfortunate: journals have a tag capacity. We can't have any more than 1000 tags, and we've already GOT those 1000.
As a result of this, new posts will NOT have new tags associated with them-- for the time being. What I'm hoping we can do to resolve this issue is when we make the purge of the Claims List on 1/1/08, we'll also go through the tags, and delete those tags which are no longer "in use."
People wishing to find entries for past claims will have to do so by going into the Memories/Archives.
This means there are two new facets to the New Year's 2008 Purge:
* Removal of old tags (any tags that are NOT currently in use on the Claims List, with the exception of tags related to theme set lists, mod posts, etc.)
* Addition of all inactive claims into the Memories/Archives EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT FINISHED! (Basically, if a person claimed something and didn't finish their claim, we'll still put their entries into the Archives -unless otherwise requested- because we'll be deleting the tags associated with their claim to free up "tag space")
This is a bit of a larger scale project than initially announced, so I'm also here to ask for help. Any lurking mods, please come out! Anyone interested in being part of the mod squad, come hither! We'll need as much help as we can get!
