When Kakashi-sensei had announced that they were going on a small vacation because of the events of the C-class, turned A-class mission there were mixed reactions. Sakura cheered jovially and gave a secretive smile toward Sasuke as his mood turned ever so darker. Naruto shouted loudly only to be whacked against the back of his head by Sakura who berated him, and Sasuke merely sighed as it was a waste of valuable training time. Sasuke’s mood got considerably darker as Kakashi continued speaking, as Naruto and he would share a room while Kakashi and Sakura got separate rooms to themselves.
While Naruto somber his excitement at the announcement, Sasuke only sighed, they always stuck the two of them together. At least Sasuke could trust Naruto with the secrets he had learned over the course of sharing rooms, in fact he didn’t mine sleeping in the idiot’s presence. None the less, his mood sprouted rain clouds when Kakashi mentioned they were going to a beach off the coast of Sea Country. Sasuke hated the beach, for it held to many memories, and he was far to pale to fight off the vicious solar rays.
Naruto couldn’t understand why Sasuke utterly refused to budge from the comfortable niche he had found in the room with a hardbound book. For while Naruto preferred the outdoors, Sasuke was quite content to remained inside, so Naruto compromised.
“Hey Sasuke let’s spar.” Naruto baited and sure enough the self-satisfied smirk spread across the Uchiha’s lips.
“Sure, I would not mind beating you into the dirt, at least then you’ll sleep without snoring.” Sasuke agreed, slipping easily from his position to the door. Naruto gritted his teeth and waited to punch Sasuke until they were outside the hotel, it would be hell on Gama-chan if he would have to pay damage. Quickly he dashed by Sasuke baiting the boy to follow and skidded across the sand to the waiting waves that Sasuke would enjoy by the end of the day.
Sasuke never threw the first punch that was always Naruto, so it was easy to dodge and predict. He ignored the wave of Sakura in her one piece as she sat on the sandbar dipping her feet into the waves daintily. Though Sasuke couldn’t see him, he was sure Kakashi was around watching and reading his book. He slipped his Sharingan out as soon as Naruto began to tire him out with the numerous amount of kage bunshin. Then it was mere child’s play, well at least he was getting a work out, as he caught Naruto’s charge and flung him away from him. Naruto must have been learning for he grabbed his collar and yanked him along, both of them crashing into the ocean headfirst. Sakura’s shrieks annoyed him far more then Naruto’s actions, as Sasuke realized that this had been Naruto’s goal all along.
Sasuke muttered lightly, dragging his wet self from the ocean and peeling off his cold shirt. Angrily he glared at the smiling Naruto and gestured for him to come over, his friend skipped over. He grabbed the sun screen tucked in Naruto’s jacket and set to slathering on himself.
“Dobe, get out of your wet clothes, you’ll get sick and I do not want to catch nothing.” Sasuke ordered, Naruto complied with a wide grin and threw his coat, dripping wet, in Sasuke’s face. “You’re dead.” Sasuke muttered as he pulled the jacket off his face. Ignoring the shock of electricity that went through him at the sight of Naruto’s bronze chest, he lunged after the laughing clown.
“You got to catch me first bastard.” Naruto bit back, smiling at the small enjoyment building in the Uchiha’s eyes. They played a rough game of Kunai and Tag before Naruto accidently ran past Kakashi-sensei’s hiding space splashing water on his book.
Uncontrollable fury lit in their sensei revealed eye, and a roar escape his covered lips. Naruto tried fruitlessly to apologize and explain that he had not done it intentionally, but Kakashi would hear none of it. Quick hand signs and then Naruto was being chase by a pack of dogs, pakkun in the lead. Sasuke watched with a smirk, which widened when pakkun caught up and bit Naruto on the bum. Unfortunately Naruto was moving too fast and caused the both of them to fall back. However, the pack refused in stopping their assault so Naruto sprung back up with Pakkun still attached. The combine force of gravity caused Naruto’s embarrassment to grow, as the pants slid down under the force revealing the only light tan part of his body. Sasuke blinked before quickly turning his head away along with Sakura to give the boy a shred of dignity.
Well, this was not Sasuke’s idea of perfection, vacationing with his perverted sensei, a fan-girl, and a moron, but it could be worst. Eventually the retreated to the hotel room to watch a bit of tv, and Naruto turned to Sasuke with an innocent question.
“Did you have fun?” Naruto inquired softly.
“Hn.” Sasuke stated, but a wide smirk was seen, Naruto sighed, but smiled at Sasuke. ‘Yes, thank you Naruto.’ He thought silently, for Naruto kept his mind off the more darker aspect of his life, but to admit it aloud? Not on either of their lives, still perfection this was not, but Sasuke had enough of perfection for his life. A shred of happiness floated in his dark heart that lasted until Naruto started snoring.
