"What are you doing?" Dean turned from decorating the tree, wondering where Sam was with the new set of lights.
"Just a minute," Sam yelled back around a mouth full of something. "I only found one box."
A candy cane hung from Sam's lips. Dean's attention was focused on that sexy image and didn't hear a word he'd said.
"Dean?"
He jolted from his daydream that had quickly been turning x-rated. "Yeah?"
"I found one box. Didn't we get two?"
"I think we did, but we'll only need one."
"Okay," Sam carefully stepped around the packaging the other ornaments had been in. He slurped around his sweet candy. "Did you get an angel for the top of the tree?"
"An angel? I don't think so, Sammy. There's a star over there for us to use, but there's no way I'm touching an angel."
"It's alright, Dean," Sam whispered from right behind him. "I just wanted something for the tree top." He passed the star to Dean. "I'm not pushing religion or anything else that got twisted in the battle of good and evil. Let's have a pleasant first Christmas together."
"We had Christmas as kids." Dean grumped as he reached up to place the star, knowing that Sam could do it much easier but not wanting to give away the responsibility.
Sam rolled his eyes while Dean was distracted. "This is the first one for us." He took Dean's hand in his and Dean turned to face him. "Our first."
Dean smiled at Sam, removed the candy, and tasted the peppermint on Sam's lips and tongue. Sam held Dean close as they lazily kissed and wondered if Dean would oppose to hanging mistletoe.
