When you say you wouldn't have liked the pairing, is that because you aren't a fan of the TV show? Or because you'd rather see them as friends, than lovers? I know the first time I came across the show, I thought Hutch was, er, not the cutest guy in the world (blonds aren't my thing). And Starsky's hair looked *awful* to me. But these guys grow on you. :-)
Thank you so much for delurking. It's lovely to hear from someone new!
Have you seen my website? I've got some S&H quizzes, parodies, episode reviews and such over there. http://rebelcat4.tripod.com/

Lol, yes they're not exactly cute despite growing on us like that but what helps if you use the recent remake of Starsky & Hutch (Ben Stiller and Luke Wilson I think, I could be wrong)... Helps it out a bit, they're both more cute.
My favorite fic of them from you is the Bottoms Up! theme, and there I stumbled across your site so yes I've seen it. It's great xD

/way more than you ever wanted to know.
I don't know how to put this right, so I'll do my best: this story is exceptionally well-written, it's a tight story, it's very real in the way it comes across, and it drags the reader in and keeps us right there on top of every word written on the page. That said, I hated this story, worse than I've ever hated a well-written fic before. It's so sad, so utterly unfair, and so very realistic that it just grinds at me. I didn't enjoy reading it and yet I couldn't stop, and where I'm still dripping snot everywhere, I'm glad I read it because it hurts so much.
Your stories make me confused, can you tell?
You did so well with this. It'd have hurt so much less if you'd screwed it up.
I didn't say it, but this is probably the best of your stories posted on 30_lemons.

I just wish I could pat you and say, "There, there, it's okay. Hutch is in a kinda happy place." And hey - Starsky's new relationship is doomed. That girlfriend he mentions at the end? She's doomed to get a bullet in the head in a later episode of the TV series. Dunno if that helps any. But at least she and Hutch don't have to face off with pistols at dawn over who loves Starsky more. ;-)
Now I can't wait to find out what you think of my newest lemon fic! Thank you so much for the terrific feedback!

But the anticipation makes it all the better, that it does. *nods*
Mmm, I feel even sadder now. (Can't go dripping snot or my officemates'll all wonder, but you know.) Because if the girlfriend dies and Starsky comes to Hutch for comfort, then that comfort turns into something else, then always in the back of Hutch's mind (so far as I can tell, anyway) there will always be that little niggling doubt of "what if she'd lived? Was I just a substitute," and the like. Even if they're together for 80 years and die in each others' arms, there will always be that little seed of doubt.
Mmrph. Gorgeous. I may have to pimp your stuff out on my LJ ... that I might.

And as for the other story... hmm. Wouldn't Starsky be in the same position, with regards to Hutch - always figuring that Hutch only turned to him when he did because he was drunk and had just been dumped by his girlfriend? I suspect there's doubt all over that particular universe, and most likely it's best to just back away slowly. Move on to a happier world.
I've got another lemon in mind, and if all goes well, it should be angst-free fluff. :-)
