I really liked the other ones, honest. But this one! Mmm, it hit the spot. Repeatedly. Jerking off with his partner so close ... that is hot.

And I love his musings, how they aren't at all logical and he works his way around to realising that they're not logical, even though the reader's gotten there way ahead of him. You do the guilt/denial/angst thing exceptionally well. The mix-in with the deceased man was well done, as well. Not too heavy on the angst, but heavy enough to tell us where Starsky's coming from.

Starsky really, *really* loves his car. But he likes Hutch even better. The bit with the dead guy actually hearkens back to an episode in which a cop is found dead in a skeezy hotel, and it turns out he was last seen with a male prostitute.

It's actually a very thoughtful episode, dealing with some of the issues around being gay and closeted in the seventies. Starsky's reaction is angry and unhappy - "it's not natural", while Hutch is much more open-minded. And, watching the way the actor delivers his lines - it's pretty clear Hutch has at least considered playing for the other team. I love this episode.
