It had been a while since the two of them had really fought. Usually the worst it would get was a harsh glare or a slight chiding from Ryosuke. Keisuke’s mind and pride rebelled, but his mouth stayed closed, waiting for later when he could offer a soft apology in kisses.
Tonight, however, deviated. Something in the air tonight. Something unnamed and unidentifiable. It was a certain buzz, a rough ambience. One word would crackle and burn, singeing and igniting, sparking and flaming, torn by static electricity. Tonight Keisuke bared his teeth and fought back, all thoughts of tender apologies chased from his mind along with self-control, self-discipline, subordination and composure.
His meager kisses wouldn’t be enough to cool the smoldering coals of anger he had fanned this time though, not enough to appease and pay for the damage.
Ryosuke hated nights like tonight.
