Title: Look Over Here
Author/Artist: Kiki_Halliwellx
Pairing: Wyatt Halliwell & Kikita Cochrane
Fandom: Charmed
Theme: (include the # and the theme) #1: Look Over Here
Disclaimer: I do not own Wyatt Halliwell or Charmed. What I do own though is Kikita, who is my own character who I have put a lot of work into and it seems like she belongs in the world of charmed…
Summery: These 30 stories centre around the plot that Wyatt gets assigned a new charge and she just happens to be his younger sister’s best friend and a close friend of his.

“…”

Her fingers traced tenderly down the ivory keys of her keyboard. Kikita Cochrane sighed heavily as she tried to think of songs to sing or play but as always none managed to come to mind so all that surrounded her was a tune that no one had ever heard of before. She let her mind go from the world around as she got into a rhythm but then:

“I just don’t get it.”

“Get what?” The dark skinned half Arabian chick asked as she turned her head back to look at her best friend as her long braids rubbed down her back. Kikita’s best friend was none other than Melinda Halliwell, youngest child and only daughter of Piper Halliwell, one of the charmed ones.

“It’s just… you.”

“What about me?” Kikita briefly brought her fingers against a few more keys as her bluish brown eyes focused on the brunette before her. Melinda’s long brown hair was at her waist so it was just longer than Kikita’s. Kikita could possibly tell what this was about but she didn’t know if she wanted to guess in case she was wrong.

“The prom.”

No, she would have guessed right. “What about the prom? Was it the fact that I’ve decided not to go or the fact that no one asked me? I really wasn’t expecting anyone to ask me, Mel. My reputation already made that one easy to guess.” Kikita really wasn’t that upset that no one asked her though.

“No, the fact that Wyatt didn’t ask you.”

What? Wyatt… Kikita could feel her cheeks redden and heat up. She didn’t want to even think about him; for he was the only one she would have accepted to go to the prom with. Yet she knew that Melinda was just trying to get Kikita’s hopes up. Yet… Melinda didn’t know that Kikita fancied Wyatt. The whitelighter/witch was the one that Kikita had her heart set on lately.

“He said he’d ask someone he knew so that he didn’t have to go alone.”

Oh that’s great, so if Wyatt did ask her it would only be out of friendship? Yes, those words really made Kikita feel great. She was sort of hoping that her crush would have asked her for her being her and not just because they were close. Yet, even though she could be around him and act normally she harboured all these strange feelings. Feelings that made her want to lean closer to him all those past times.

“I’m not going to the prom, Mel.” She looked to Melinda and watched the expression that formed on her best friend’s face. After all the problems she had faced when she started school because of her heritage and race. Yes, Kikita wasn’t a natural good girl. She was naturally conceived to be evil. Her father was a genie and her mother was half witch, half whitelighter. So Kikita had genie genes inside her. In fact most of her powers and thoughts were genie related.

“What? Did you just decide not go to the prom right now? This is Wyatt’s last year in Magic School!”

Well, that was true. She didn’t want to have to deny Wyatt the right to have a date to his senior prom. It didn’t seem right. Kikita sighed before looking up to Melinda before nodding her head in a way to show her that she gave up and would go with him if he would ask. She would have accepted anyway. She just wanted to get a chance to be with someone at the prom. She didn’t want to go before because being shunned and exiled was something she was used to but being a wallflower was something she wouldn’t be. Melinda was going with Jason so she wouldn’t have been able to go and hang out with her anyway.

“Great. Then you can get around to actually wearing that dress.”

Oh yes, the dress her mother had bought for her because of the prom. Yes, Kikita’s mother was desperate to make her daughter go to the prom, even if her daughter didn’t want to go. She sighed before nodding her head in reply to what Melinda had said to her. Kikita knew better than to argue. This was most probably because she hated arguments. She had grown up with her mother and father arguing all the time… about her.

“Speaking of dresses. I have to go home and check on mine.”

“Okay then.” Kikita stood up from the piano stool, going over to Melinda and giving her a best friend’s hug. She loved Melinda like a sister and hoped that they would never fall out over anything trivial even though their relationship had surpassed much more. They had known each other since they were three, then when they were five they split up. Considering they were so young it didn’t seem to affect Melinda much yet Kikita got the brunt of it all when it came to primary school.

Kikita was soon sitting alone after Melinda left through the front door - being only half witch, seeing as her father had lost his whitelighter wings, Melinda couldn’t orb like her two older brothers could. She thought about what had happened during primary school - when Melinda decided to finally talk to Kikita again. It took two years; they were both seven years old. Only now they were both nineteen and inseparable. Forget Paige Halliwell’s twins Janie and Julie being the most famous twins in town. Melinda and Kikita were always called twins out of humour but they didn’t mind.

“You worry too much.”

“Did I say you could pop out?” Kikita asked recalling that voice so easily as she turned towards a holographic projection of Wyatt Halliwell. His shoulder length blondish-brown curls gelled slightly back, in the way that she loved to see him. His arms were crossed around his broad frame. He was standing taller than her and was so realistic it felt like she could reach out and touch him.

Oh wait, that was because she could. Kikita’s genie heritage had given her three powers. One was granting wishes. She could grant wishes to everyone - 1 to each person, unless that person was her master then it is 3 wishes to them and she could grant her own wishes if she is crying. Yet with that being personal gain there is consequences.

The second power is one of her strongest, okay apart from the telekinesis that her mother’s genes had passed down to her. That power would be the healing factor. She packed quite a punch in the defensive side of things. Her whitelighter healing gift had merged with her genie-healing gift, so instead of healing others she could heal herself. This was, indeed very handy. She was also in the middle of learning whether or not she would be able to learn to heal others; she wasn’t that fast at learning new things. Telekinesis, granting wishes and healing, well, they came naturally from birth.

The last of her genie powers, and the reason why there was a version of Wyatt in front of her happened to be called Holographic Projection powers. These would sense a creation from her mind and send them through so that she would see them or whatever it was in front of her. Feel and touch and speak to them. She can also send projections into other’s minds so they believe that they are being haunted by whatever they are scared of - although she is still learning this. He was so gorgeous, and those dark eyes were just staring at her endlessly. She felt as if commanding him to leave.

“But you don’t want me to leave.” The holograph of her beloved spoke holding a smirk on his face. Kikita glared at it, but it wasn’t a full glare. Yet it wasn’t Wyatt so why couldn’t’ she glare? She didn’t know yet. Kikita placed her hands on her hips, just above where her dark jeans started. She was so short compared to him. It was funny. She looked towards the window. She thought to herself, what does he know about what she wanted. It was funny because whenever she thought something it was as if she was saying it to the projection. If the real Wyatt ever knew about the projections she could create of him - or already had created of him - she doubted he would have understood. “Instead of me leaving, you want this.”

Her oval eyes widened as the holograph pressed his lips softly to hers. She felt the warmth of those lips. He seemed so real except she knew that he wasn’t. The kiss wasn’t as satisfying as a real kiss but the vision of seeing his face pulling back from being so close to hers was a joy in its own rights. Kikita gasped as she then wondered if Melinda knew about this, what if she had ever sent a holographic projection to other’s by accident? She wondered if Wyatt could tell that he was being projected to her? Especially seeing that he has those sensing powers. It was scary to think about. This was the first time that Wyatt had come out of her imagination for this reason. Usually he was the thing she projected when she was upset and needed comforting.

“But… if the holographic Wyatt kissed me then… does the real Wyatt want to kiss me?” Kikita asked herself out loud as she looked to where she had left her projection to find she must have sucked him back into her mind without realising it. Oh well, she’d maybe find out one day. Only now it would seem that Kikita had a prom to deal with and check a dress for. Kikita knew one thing though after this year she was set for getting her own whitelighter… she wasn’t the only one… she also knew that Melinda was expecting one too and now that Melinda had told Kikita earlier on that Wyatt had been complaining about hearing calls from ‘up there’ maybe he was soon to become a whitelighter himself.

Something told Kikita that Wyatt would be good at that. That was especially as she knew she would trust him with her life and ensure that she would do everything in her power to make him happy. That was all that Kikita wanted to do in her life. Ensure that whatever she had to do she would do right. Would anyone ask for her to do anything more or anything less? Yet right now she had to prepare to maybe being asked by Wyatt to go to the prom… she just hoped that he would look over to her for once and take her instead one of the popular girls. Why was it that they always thought the popular girls were hot and never girls like her? He could maybe one day soon look over at her.
