Danny looked down at the box in his hand. He had to do this now before he chickened out. Mac and the rest of his team wanted him to do this as did Horatio’s team. They promised that Horatio had no idea about what he was going to do. He took a deep breath and rang the door bell. Horatio answered the door a few minutes later wearing a pair of track pants and a t-shirt. Personally Danny thought they suited him quite well. Horatio pulled him in, kicked the door shut and pushed him against it in a searing kiss.
When they pulled apart for air they headed into the living room. “Horatio, you know how much I love you don’t you?”
“Yes, of course I do. Why ask that?” Horatio asked him taking him in a deep hug except Danny slipped out of it and onto the floor.
Kneeling on one knee in front of Horatio Danny saw him blink a few times. “Horatio you mean everything to me. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you do me the honour of becoming my husband?”
Horatio blinked another couple of times in surprise as he hadn’t been expecting that. He slid down onto the floor next to Danny and pulled him into his lap. “Of course I will. I love you so much,” he declared before pulling him into another deep kiss. They both could feel their pants tightening, so Horatio said, “Why don’t we go celebrate this elsewhere?” Danny just smiled and standing up he held out his hand to Horatio. Horatio had given his promise to Danny and intended to keep it no matter what happened in the mean time.
