Excerpt: Yuuko didn't like her sleep interrupted.
The Clow Cards weren't toys. Clow had known it from the beginning, even as he created them to be his playmates. He watched the mirror crack and slide off the wall, and winced. His mother wouldn't be pleased-- that had been her mirror, long ago. He would have to say prayers against angry spirits later.
Much later. There was a hung-over, very angry woman coming up the stairs, and he thought it best to deal with her first. Yuuko didn't like her sleep interrupted.
Sometimes Clow thought it might have been better if he hadn't taught them to play back.
