Author's Notes: Because it's always akward for a guy to admit to another guy that he's "beautiful".

It was pretty stupid of him to think like this. At least, he felt pretty stupid. For as long as he’d known Sasuke, they’d been at each other’s throats with insults and flying fists. A few quick fucks changed that, so even though there was still the occasional catcall of “Idiot!” or “You bastard!” they were lighter now. Naruto wasn’t so sure about this. Of course he trusted Sasuke. And he felt good to know that Sasuke trusted him, too. The other sometimes grudgingly muttered the three words if Naruto pestered him enough, but nothing much else had changed.
So it was pretty stupid of him to wake up one morning and find himself thinking that Sasuke was beautiful.
Naruto could have boiled the water for his ramen himself that morning, what with all of the chagrined shame flowing through his chakra.
“Stupid beautiful bastard Sasuke,” he muttered, wolfing down his morning meal and hurrying off to meet said beautiful bastard at the training grounds. He hoped that Sakura wouldn’t come by, because she was good at reading him when it came to trivial things like this.
But of course she was there, because Naruto had the worst luck at these things.
She was telling Sasuke something about medicines when he showed up, cheerful as ever, and actually happy to see him when he arrived. He pointedly avoided Sasuke’s eyes and casually threw out an insult in greeting before demanding that they get training.
Sakura watched them for a moment, then bade them goodbye, hissing in a whisper at Naruto to “Talk to him about it!” and then disappearing without explaining how she could tell that there was something on his mind.
“Dobe?” Sasuke spoke up once she’d gone.
“What?”
“You’re even more of an idiot when you’re holding something back,” Sasuke prodded.
“Forget it,” Naruto snapped.
Sasuke smirked.
Naruto sighed. “Fine.”
“Well?”
“I think you’re beautiful,” Naruto murmured, once again pointedly avoiding the other’s eyes. And it was too bad, because the Uchiha’s expression softened slightly, the light in his eyes evident for a full second.
“So? I think you are.”
Naruto stared.
“What? Should I write you a poem?” Sasuke asked sarcastically. “You teach the stars to shine...” he recited, snorting with amused annoyance.
Naruto opened his mouth.
Closed it.
Slowly, a smile spread across his face.
