Sometimes it felt odd to be famous. Everyone knew everyone. Just a few days ago he had received a fan mail appraisal from one intriguing member of the Japanese boys' group Lead, covered with lots of pretty words and imaginary hearts. It was even signed with 'yours truly, with love' in the end. A strange sort of satisfying feeling had flooded the shores of his heart as if he had just released his wings from clipped pens. But that's not exactly important right now.
The point is, the world is getting smaller and smaller by the minute. A few years ago he had never dreamed of meeting high-profile stars up close, much less interacting with them on daily basis. Now, said stars are regular visitors around the corner, especially when Jaejoong hyung started needing crutches to move around.
So far, Lee Junki had brought a total 37 visits complete with ‘good luck and cheer up’ flowers and some odd presents, while Bae Seul Gi 24 visits with pots of homemade vitamin soups; Kim Heechul 30 visits with boxes of chocolates (even though he knew hyung didn't like sweets); Choi Shiwon 2 with nothing in hands, and some more people he hadn't cared to keep track on.
He didn't see the importance of so many people dropping by, almost every day, since Jaejoong hyung was slowly recovering. If only they could all just stay away and allow hyung to rest peacefully, he wouldn't have to play errand boy 24/7 straight; Junsu hyung wouldn't have to jail himself in their own kitchen, trying to prepare whatever good snacks he could; Yoochun hyung wouldn't have to do silly things to entertain their guests (really, it was getting boring when he tried those bad oyaji jokes Junsu hyung taught him) and leader-sshi wouldn't be in a foul mood all day, eyes twitching and lips curling in a scowl.
By the end of each visit, Jaejoong hyung would pleasantly laugh out loud, patting Junsu hyung for his good work, giving Yoochun hyung a comforting hug and him the stash of chocolates Heechul had given him. As for Yunho hyung--Jaejoong hyung had something else in mind, besides a bleak 'good work, Yunho'. Instead, he dragged him to his bedroom; they didn't come out until later that night, looking mussed and beaten (...?).
"You guys didn't have a fight, did you?" he asked out of curiosity. Jaejoong hyung smirked.
"Nah, Yunho is just being jealous because I'm more flexible than he had first thought,"
For a moment, he felt his face heat up.
