Blank shifted a bit while picking at the meal that was called breakfast, Ruby definitely could not cook. The prodding chopsticks made the meal retreat with a bit of a screech and Blank withdrew. “Well?” Ruby’s voice questioned him from behind. Blank flinched and turned to Ruby with a strained smile.
“It’s great.” Blank said while dropping his chopsticks to the ground. “Sorry.” He offered weakly. Ruby huffed, picked the chopsticks up and tossed them away as the floor was absolutely filthy. She stomped away, a few seconds later Blank could here the unhappy whirl of the blender. This sound made Blank even more nervous but he stayed his ground, Zidane would never let him hear the end of it if he retreated.

“Here.” She grumbled shoving a strange colored shake into his hands. He gulped fearfully and turned warily to the one he loved.

“Uh what is this?” He inquired, though Blank could of sworn something stared at him from within the large glass.

“A protein shake.” She answered watching him as he watched the glass.

“Oh.” Blank offered and brought the glass closer to his lips. The liquid sloshed and some drops hit the table with a soft hiss. Drinks were not suppose to do that, but for Ruby he would do much anything.

“Since you refuse to eat healthily, the least I do was make sure you down this protein shake.” Ruby spoke, Blank nodded weakly before shutting his eyes and drowning it in one go trying vainly not to choke. Ruby nodded her head in approval and as she turned Blank’s face turned an interesting shade of fuchsia. It had tasted terrible, but with enough practice he should be able to down it in one go without a single drop touching his tongue. Judging by the look on Ruby’s face he would get many opportunities to practice.
