You say that you love me, that you care about me more than anyone else in this messed up world.
But I don't understand, really. How can that be true when all you've done for me is destroy me?
You break me, piece by piece to prolong the ending of everything at all that I long for every day.
You ruin everything I desire and cherish, just before I think I can tell myself that I'm alive, that I finally realize what I've been missing all of my life.
You give me wings that cannot fly freely through the endless skies that once held so many promises for me.
You deliberately bury me under the ground, and allow the cold, cold snow to cover the earth and seal me away until you're ready for me to be dug up again.
You speak words that resound in my head, over and over again, when all I want is for them to disappear.
And, so, it's impossible for me to claim that everything you say is sincere. Can you blame me after everything I've had to endure?
