Well that all depends on what you want to do. Some people throw parties, others just spend the time with friends. I knew one girl in college who celebrated it on her own.

And another who had a birthday every week, but that was because boys bought her drinks if she said it was her birthday.

There are tons of ways to celebrate for any occasion! The forensics department threw a party for one of their machines once. I think it had just turned a year old that year.
