Writer seeking artist for Webcomic/graphic novel
Although I can see my chances of finding an artist are slim given the number of requests here, I'll give it a shot anyway.
I'm going to say write away up front, I don't have the means to pay any artists, so any work we do would be collaborative. I am willing to have publication for profit be the ultimate goal. Alright well here goes,
As much as I'd like to be able to pitch a specific project, I have a lot on the table. I generally deal with darker, modern themes Sci-Fi, horror, Post-apocalypse, surrealism, I prefer character driven stories with unique plots. I despise cliches and the obvious.
Three possible story pitches:
The first is set in Vietnam during the height of the Vietnam war. It will follow a military units descent into barbarity as it morphs into a band of savages and engages in "CO Fragging" and takes to wearing tribal face paint and taking acid trips. The story would show their collapse and when they are eventually brought to justice. Sort of a My Lai massacre in reverse.
The second follows the crew of a freighter when they realize that the government has laced their ship with a biochemical weapon to test the deadly effects on live targets. The story details their fight to survive as they are systematically cut off from the world.
The third is much more ambitious in scope. It would be a series detailing a war between Humanity and a hostile alien race that attacked without provocation, set 200 years in the future. It would be a character driven story following the lives of the crew of one ship in the human fleet.
I have many other ideas, those are just the major ones. I can submit samples of my writing on request. Some samples are on my Live Journal but they're not very up to date. Anyway, email me with questions or to express interest. cpl_attari@yahoo.com
