Is anyone reading this? No. Wonderful, let's move on to the specifics.
I'm a published author. Nothing that's paying for an underground swimming pool or a ten-foot bust of Oscar Wilde on the front lawn, but I have a few modest publications under my belt none-the-less. I've been focused on novels and short stories and while one of my passions has always been comics and graphic novels, I've never... been in possession of a willing artist. Not that I haven't written scripts to try and entice my artist friends, but they were always busy washing their hair or attending college or some such nonsense.
Anyway.
My current idea is something of an off-kilter study on what it means to be alive. Kind of, I Robot meets Soylent Green meets The Brave Little Toaster. There would, of course, be comedy involved since the idea itself is a completely ridiculous one - but I would like to keep things meaningful without getting too pretentious and preachy. Very strange, very slipstream, possibly a little modern/alternate universe cyberpunk - if there is such a thing.
I'm open for as much collaboration as you're willing to give. I'm very flexible and very personable. Whatever sort of creative process you're comfortable with, we can most likely work something out.
Aiming for publication is fine. Unfortunately, my publication knowledge only extends to prose. I do, however, want exposure. So, at the very least, I'm aiming for a webcomic here.
Interested? At all? Drop me a comment or a PM. Send me an art sample, and I'll give you a more detailed pitch/writing sample in return.
