Painting/textile artist wanted for possible business venture.

I've had an idea to sell decorated dust masks on the festival circuit in the Pacific Northwest. Of course, I lack the artistic ability to do it myself. I hope to find an artist (or three) who will decorate them for per-unit pay, then I will handle sales.

I think screen printing or air brushing are probably the most practical mediums, depending on which style of mask we decide on. (I plan to test various mask styles for dust protection and paint adherence.) Of course, I'm open to other ideas as well.

We would want to sell a wide variety of designs. The two basic categories I think would sell well are fantastic/faerie type designs, and text or symbol based designs that speak to a very liberal adult audience. (With themes like peace, tolerance, environmentalism, dissent/radicalism, and possibly affirmative new-age type religious statements or symbols.) I'm thinking of designs like an Om, or the Hebrew word for Peace, that kind of thing. Grateful Dead symbols would probably sell well too. I do plan to be involved in design development and I understand this audience pretty well, so you won't be on your own.

If you're interested in this project just send me a few links (in comments or a private message) to pictures of your textile-painting works, or works in other mediums with a description of how you might adapt your technique to textile.

Feel free to spread the offer to any artists you know as well.
