You're absolutely right that it was written before the show finale--in fact, all of my FNL stories were written while season two was airing. I stopped writing them when they became irrefutably non-canon-consistent, 'cause it just didn't seem fun anymore. I'm glad it still reads relatively well, though, despite that.
