HE'S A PIRATE...
Whew, I suppose I am LONG overdue for an update.
Things here are going well, but I'm terribly homesick. I'm tired of being in such a small town. I need to smell pollution again, I need to rant in spanish and have people understand what I'm saying. That and I really miss everyone. EVERYONE. I miss my mom alot, and the rest of my family too. I really miss my friends and I HATE missing out on shit.
Fall Frolics was last week. Everytime I miss a Gablette show I get very pissy. I haven't seen a Gablette in person in 3 months, I am having withdrawls, lol.
Seriosly though, Cav Crash is tonight and I'm missing that too, I missed all the games, including the alumni game, which happened to be the day of BOA. I just hope I can see some shows during winter break, I think I might be in for a show and a competition, so I'll be there with my shirt on!
I don't mean to sound depressed at all, just, being away makes you realize all the wonderful things you left behind. I've realzed how special all my friends are to me, I've realized how much I like someone and how glad I am that we're just friends, I've realized how much I love my mama's cooking, and how I'm not going to take advantage of any of this while I'm home.
Again, I'm not depressed, I've been having a blast up here =) I have great friends who take care of me, so ya'll don't have to worry about me. We eat shit and I curse in spanish and everyones happy. God, I love white people, and black people, and being the only Cuban sometimes has it's benifits. Like teaching Ben how to say "vete pa la pinga" and tell it to everyone and seeing they're reaction.
Josh made top 6 for drum major and auditions are tomorrow =)
It's a long ways to civilization from J'ville, but last night we went to Douglasville and I bought hats.
Hats make me happy.
Next week I get to see some of my family because I'm going to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. Then I'm coming back on Friday for SPIRIT auditions, that should be interesting.
