Carrie

There is one commercial on the TV right now that makes me want to stop watching all together.  I just find it too depressing.  The worst part?  It's meant to be a completely uplifting song.  The commercial is for Carrie Underwood's new album "Carnival Ride" and it includes a clip from the video for "So Small".  A beautiful scene of a field of red butterflies on white flowers with Carrie singing the lyrics:

"When you figure that love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else... seem so small."

Whats so depressing about that, you might ask?

Well... When you realize that love is the penultimate experience.... but you don't HAVE it.  Nothing else is ever going to make up for the gap.
