car wars. and I'm making this entry public on purpose.
Minutes ago, I just saw one of THE most upsetting things I've ever seen in my life.
I was making a left on to 5th avenue off of ritchie, looking (obviously) to my left. The light's about to turn green, and I hear this big pop and it seemed like someone hit me. I looked back in my rear view, and then to my right. I see:
2 cars tumbling to the sidewalk (a truck and a car), flipping over upsidedown on top of eachother. smoke. The car's wipers flicked on.
SO DISTURBING. people were pulling over, running to help. I almost did pull over. Infact I wish I did now. I hope those people are okay. omgsh, I'm so upset.
This makes me even more upset after what happened to me on 895! The drama NEVER ever ends on the road for me, it seems:
I'm driving to Eric's house.. Eric's following me. (Close by). Some jerk is tailgating me, so I get over in the right lane. Later, I find out I accidentally cut someone off in doing that. but NOT knowing this, I'm just driving along, and a guy is driving RIGHT beside me, blaring his horn. I don't look over. Then, He gets in front of me, and slams on his breaks, not letting up. I just pulled over on the side of the road. The guy kept driving. Eric pulled behind me, and told me what he saw happened.
What if I wasn't able to stop?? I was going 60miles an hour! What if I crashed into the back of his car?? He had kids in his car! It just pisses me off SO MUCH that that guy thinks he has the right to take my life, his life, the lives of the people in his car, not to mention the lives of the people around us on the road, into his hands.. and they could have been lost or changed forever. Just because he couldn't control HIS temper!! Lesson learned? There's just NO room to make mistakes on the road.
I feel like walking everywhere now. And maybe that's just not so safe either, since that crash happened on the sidewalk! UHHGGGG.
Drive defensively people, PLEASE, PLEASE don't drive offensively. I think we can make the road a safer place like that.
