The Final GunShot
The man finished scaling the stairs through the trail of dripping blood and his head felt light.He reached a door gave a swift kick and the door took flight.
In the room he found Boss, standing by a mini-bar. The man's vision started to blurr and Boss seemed way too far.
The man trudged up to Boss and raised his gun. Boss stared in slince knowing his time had come.Time passed...
Boss said"Well, do it already. I'm sick of this game"
Teh man replied"Wait, wait gimme a minute!I got a question. Whats....What is my name?"
"What?" Boss replied
The man threw back at him and began to cry"You took my name.You took my past.Now tell me WHO AM I, WHO THE HELL AM I!?"
Boss reached for a box and pulled out a file. He threw it on the table and said" I think you'll find this worth while"
The man picked it up and began to read. Bos continued" Your name is Vincent Xavier Reed. Your parents are Joseph and Marry Reed. You have a little brother named..." and in a horrid shocked look The man said "...Charlie.."
Boss nodded and the man's face stung and his lips became salty. The tears ran down but the rage blew up. The man wouldn't hear anymore he heard enough.
The man took his pistol and filled Boss with a couple of rounds. Boss' body fell limply to the ground.
The man turned away and walked to the door. The man heard a Thunderous CRACK!The man was thrown againstthe wall... A bullet tore through him and he could feel the whole it bore.
The man turned in rage at the bloodied Boss that layed gun raised. With one bullet, The man spilled the last drop of blood that would leave his soul stained.
Crying and dying The man left the Arena. Reading the file, thinking of Joseph,Mary, Charlie and Maria.
He managed to stumbled all the way to Maria's grave.In tourment he wondered if his soul was saved. He sat down huggin her grave in fear of death, with no soudn to comfort him other than his failing breath.
He looked down and saw his reflection in a puddle and his face changed to the shadow. The shadow smiled back but the smile wasn't hallow. He looked with jubiallance and said" You did it Vince. You broke free of your chains in this world and in the next. You ar eno longer a slave to death and your soul is no longer hexed.You can rest in peace."
the man laid back, relaxed, raised his head towards the sky with its re-incarnating light BURSTING through the sky, and for the first time a smile appeared on his face.
He could see Maria's smiling angelic face and Charlie's plesant smile.he said looking up into the heavenly light"Mom,Dad, Maria and Charlie....I'm finally coming home!...It's been such a long, long while!"
And when the sun set The man's one and only wish was gained. He was in peace and he never had to pick up a gun again.
