I've used this lj extensively, and for a variety of things, I think. From philisophical meanderings to poems to one-line metaphysical quips, this LJ has been quite a wonderful part of my life. And here I am now, ending it!
But, as I wrote in the very first entry I wrote on this journal ( http://2seraph.livejournal.com/1624.html ) I approached this thing with the mind that I was creating a mosaic, of my soul and experiences, in the form of written entries. Just as that entry was the "first piece of glass," so this entry is the last.
The memorable entries list should provide a heavy and dutiful list of all the highlights of this journal, including some of the most tumultuous periods of my life and also some of the greatest heights of expressionistic writing I encountered over the space of these two years.
I have since moved onto a more industrial, more forward-thinking blog ( http://blog.secondseraph.com ) where I will, from this point on, be pointing all journal or journey-related entries. The blog, which is already quite meaty, is and will be a chronicling of my experience at MICA in Baltimore and also what I learn there. Should get very interesting! I'm approaching it with the mindset that the reader should understand what I'm saying, so while the blog is not as expressionistic as this journal was, it is also much easier to read (though not really any less dense-it may be more so, though).
I encourage any friends of mine who want to continually check up on me to get an RSS feed of the secondseraph blog (doesn't LJ put it right into your friends page?). I update it almost daily now, depending on the activities. I'm very excited about it. You can also keep track of the upcoming novel there, which is in its third draft of editing and progressing quickly.
In all other cases, this is a great-big goodbye. I doubt I will see many of you again. We'll all be going our separte ways as we ride the waves of life. That said, the lot of you have my great and many thanks, and in some special cases have some very heartfelt warm-fuzzies (tears, even?) sent your way.
I hope you can keep track of me, as I'll try to keep track of you.
Many thanks again, and signing off…
daniel
