Today, my second day of errand running and getting things done that I’ve had to put on hold for the duration of this insane last semester, I contemplate, “How can I prepare for what lies ahead?”.  This summer session will be so intense.  My dad insists in his Marine turned motivational speaker dad-speaking-to-his-eldest-daughter not-so-nice voice- “You need to keep yourself disciplined!  Don’t you slack these three weeks and think you’ll be able to stroll in there and do it!  You have to keep up the momentum!  If you don’t- it will be the second week of school before you can get your head out of your ass!   I recommend a very strict, regimented 60 minute daily workout!  But for you, just do hard walking.  Don’t slack on this Maura!  Do NOT take this lightly!”  Yeah, so I went to the gym last night and tonight.  It was wonderful, I’ll post about that later, this post is for sdunn711.

So we are planning a weekend getaway; that will be fun.  But I’m thinking about this coming semester in the meantime.  And sdunn711  calls and says, I’ve been thinking about what we can do before next semester.  I rudely cut her off, cause isn’t it fun when you’re always on the same page?  I say, “Yeah!  Me too!  So I’m going to write an email to Professor R and ask where we can begin reading to get a heads up on what we need to know for next semester!  Aren’t we lucky that we are using the same book for one of our classes an’____”  I’m more rudely interrupted by her laughing at me.  An embarrassed, but now somewhat familiar sensation, creeping in.  “No”, she says, all giddy about some joke I’m not yet privy to.  She informs me, while laughing hysterically, that we should go out to the state park and we should rent a canoe!  HA!!!!  I wish I could play Little Miss, “this isn’t a good idea, we should be studying”, but that’s not me at all!  I LOVE the idea!  I’m so excited cause we are SO GONNA TIP THIS CANOE!  The idea quickly morphs into renting a fishing boat.  And now tomorrow I will partake in a trip to Wal-Mart to buy little kid fishing poles.  Why buy expensive stuff for a day of snagging one another’s nipples or eyeballs with poorly attached, hooked worms, right?  We’ll take lots of pix, and we’ll both probably blog about our adventures later.  You can already guess what kind of trip this will be as we discussed getting to the lake somewhere around 2pm, so as not to have to get out of bed too early on our vacation!  LMAO!!!  This will be one of the funniest things ever.
