A working group at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine (led by Senior Advisers to the Minister) is looking for experts to join the international team of professionals, help initiate reforms and manage their execution.
The key objectives of the working group include:
• analysis of operations and financials of state-owned companies;
• analysis of the existing legislation on state-owned enterprises;
• identification of existing pitfalls, drafting legislative changes;
• implementation of OECD Guidelines on managing state-owned enterprises in Ukraine: develop general ownership policy and strategy, increase transparency and efficiency, improve corporate governance.
Required Experience and Skills
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategy consulting, corporate finance/financial advisory, investment banking, asset management, private equity, or audit firm;
• English and Ukrainian fluency;
• University degree;
• Strong project management skills, excellent organizational skills, effective communication skills and positive attitude;
• Excellent analytical skills, strong knowledge of financial analysis, experience in analyzing companies and sectors;
• Motivation to contribute to the reform process in Ukraine;
• Strong work ethics, problem-solving ability, focus on results;
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, ability to multi-task;
• Attention to detail;
• Advanced user of PowerPoint and Excel; ability to summarize and present information in a clear and efficient manner;
• Preferred: basic understanding of Ukrainian commercial law and experience in analyzing legislative acts;
• International certifications (such as CFA, ACCA and other) would be an advantage.
This position is expected to be paid by International Financial Donors, subject to required approvals.
