[Dan is...on a horse. He is wearing rather dated get up that looks to be something like armor. Beside him, on a silvery lead rope is a unicorn.]
Not much longer until the setting of the sun. I'll make haste.
[Yes, he is talking to that lovely unicorn. As far as unicorns go, this one is silvery, clearly more friendly since it is walking beside Dan on horseback. He stops them both and dismounts. His horse is fine with this and he moves it off network screen to be tethered to a tree. The unicorn is a marvel, it does not run away when he lets go of the rope. He stands near by.
The light through the trees shows the sunlight finally setting. The unicorn in a ripple of light becomes a woman, Yvaine. Dan smiles at her and reaches out to touch her face. They share a moment without words. Or maybe words were meant to be said? The sunlight is fading fast. It's Dan's turn to undergo transformation. He becomes a great horned owl before the moment the last light of day fades.]
