5) Tie between...
a) Ibiza, Spain: When I was in middle school, I read September by Rosamunde Pilcher which included a character who lived in Ibiza. I've wanted to visit and see it for myself ever since then.
b) The Great Wall of China: I don't know why, but of all the great architectural marvels there are around the world, this is the one I most would like to see. I find its symbolism interesting, the duality and overall futility of its purpose... Really though, I'd just like to bike its entire length. I think that would be an incredibly awesome story to tell at parties.
4) Paris, France: Arguably the cultural center of the world, birthplace of the Impressionist movement, art and fashion capital. I have to see it at least once if nothing more than for the principle of the matter.
3) Niagara Falls, Canada/USA: I've been a few times already, but the fondest memory I have in my entire life calls this place home... I think I'd like to revisit for the sake of sentiment and nostalgia. Preferably in the fall.
2) Fairbanks, Alaska, USA: In the month of March to see the Northern Lights. If I could pick only one place out of these five to see in my lifetime, this would be it.
1) Martinique: Admittedly a rather arbitrary destination, but it's central to a lot of daydreams Aaron and I have shared throughout the years, and has been something of a fixture in our friendship. I suppose it is sort of our Vienna.
