My social life is in a corner, curled up and dying.

So I survived my first day back at work. Got in at 9:00, stayed until 8:00, scarfed down a dinner of Popeye's chicken, then played Skyrim for the rest of the evening. That was literally my entire day. I meant to only play for an hour so I could take a shower and be in bed by 10:30, but I kind of got caught up clearing a cave of its bandits (and mining the several mineral veins it had and harvesting mushrooms), making off with their treasure of enchanted weapons and mammoth tusks (which took two trips to accommodate), raiding the lord's manor for loose pieces of gold, clothes, and magic potions which no one seemed to mind me taking (though they took exception for the silver sapphire necklace hanging out on someone's nightstand), and then buying a house in town so I finally have a place to store all the crap I carry around.

I wasn't so horrible though. I made myself stop playing at 11:00 and was in bed by 11:45 after watching some news clip of a store owner in NC punching a would-be robber in the face.

Had a lot of weird dreams toward the morning including one about ice skating, one about rabid cats and rabbits, and another about some Disney-channel type of show called "Reborn Criminals" that featured a pair of violent convicted felons (presumably having been executed for their crimes) reborn as a pair of like, 12 year-olds with their memories in tact to hilarious results. It included a high school angle with Megan Fox and Gemma Ward as like, rivals or something just as inane, as well as a very catchy opening theme. Even in my dream I thought it was stupid; I'm going to pitch it to some executives next week.

Really though, I wish I could be more candid about the other two because they were more juicy and interesting, but alas, also highly embarrassing. Lol.

Anyway, this morning, Tim had woken up earlier than me and was going to prepare the crockpot I received for Christmas so I could throw some meat and veggies in there for a stew for tonight, but lo and behold, when he took it out of the box, the thing was broken. Like, the pots were okay, but the plastic top of the base was completely smashed in. So now we have to return it, but will probably exchange it for a regular single pot model. But until then, we'll just have leftover lamb for dinner.

Today should be a shorter day at the office...it should only be seven or eight hours instead of ten or eleven. Lol. And it's mostly catch up work. Which means I'll have a lot more time to play Skyrim and hopefully furnish my rather bleak-at-the-moment home.
