[Hubb is just standing in the beach. He has a lost expression on his face that is usually only seen while he's sleepwalking, but his eyes are wide open.

He glances along the shoreline then closes his eyes slowly, as though carrying a weight on his shoulders that he hadn't the day before. It just hurt, and it hurt that he couldn't hide it, and he couldn't hide that hurt either...]
