Worse. We're being ADVERTISED as the Holy Men. A large part of the reason I wanted to change the name in the first place was that long after we stopped calling ourselves "Warren Bishop and the Holy Men," we were still being advertised that way. And what really made me crazy was when they would shorten it to just "Warren Bishop." So now someone who actually knows us is billing us by a name we haven't used for at least a year. But that's really as far into that as I want to go on that. I've always tried to avoid using LJ as a substitute for real communication with my friends. Besides, I always end up in trouble that way. I read a lot more pissy in print than I sound in person. I posted what I did here hoping to start a dialogue with the person involved, as I don't have his phone number and haven't been seeing him in person a whole lot lately. As just about anyone who's read this far has figured out by now, this person's name is Kevin. I'm not trying to do the coy "someone" did "something", passive-aggressive sort of post. His name just wasn't really relevant to the discussion. Now that I think about it, he probably doesn't ever read these posts anyway. God knows Warren and I have referred to the band as the Onlymen often enough in the past year. I suppose LJ wasn't really a good place for this after all.
Well, heck, you're just too fast. I had planned to log on and just delete this whole entry and then ask you for Kevin's phone number. But you've already read it. I really didn't want to make a bigger deal out of this than it is. Which is that we're listed on the True Love calendar as the Holy Men (pre-show self-promotion - The Onlymen at the True Love Coffeehouse, March 21st! Be there!). Since I was the one who discovered it (well, Bob actually), I wanted to take care of it myself for a change. But you're welcome to contact Kevin if you want. Maybe I'll stop by the True Love after the Bear Meeting. Hmmm....
