So, friends, I have a good chunk of next week off work, essentially.  Naturally, I have already over-booked myself with stuff I should be doing for work while I'm not there but, in the meantime, I'm taking recommendations.  What should I read?  What should I watch?  Where can I find it? Orphan Black is terrific. The sci-fi premise is interesting and the characters so awesome. I love its explicit feminist agenda (and queer representation too) and most of all Tatiana Maslany's multi-role performance is just amazing.
Admittedly the series is not very much episode-based but the first two series only count ten episodes each so it shouldn't be too hard to follow. Plus if you go through the first 2 series you'll be just ready for season 3, which will air starting April 18.

Talking about feminism and awesome actresses, if you watched the Marvel movies I'd recommend Agent Carter, starring Hayley Atwell as Peggy.
The show (only 8 episodes long so far but there's still hope for a second season) follows her story after the end of Captain America (and Steve's death). The great premise is that the fridged girlfriend in this scenario is Steve, and Peggy the tormented hero. *g*
Also, James D'Arcy from season 2 of Broadchurch is in there too. He plays Jarvis, the original one, after which the AI was named. And watching Peggy and Jarvis playing buddy cops is so terribly charming...

And, talking about British crime shows, did you watch Luther? (This year we're getting two more episodes, I'm so excited!)
