I may be moving soon, like 3 or 4 months soon.
It's going to be exciting finally getting out of Columbia, which has been my home for the past 5 years, but it's also scary and frustrating having to learn a new town. I guess it was a little bit easier coming to Columbia for school since you start out on campus and then slowly venture into other parts of the city until you know everything about it and can get anywhere without a problem. This time I won't have the luxury of slowly making my way to different areas; I'll have to try to find a place to live without knowing anything about the neighborhoods, crime levels, proximity to grocery stores, shopping, major highways, etc. It's not fun, but I do like house/apartment hunting anyway.
I haven't figured out when I will tell my boss. This is all coming at a bad time since Travis is leaving in early April, my boss will be out of the country for two weeks in late April and May, and the assistant director will be gone for most of May. In the midst of all that, we'll have to hire someone to fill Travis's position, and since he'll be leaving, it's likely that I'll be taking on most of his work. If I left them in the lurch it would be really difficult. I don't want to make things hard for them, but at the same time I can't always be thinking about everyone but myself. If the timing is right for me that I should just take advantage of it. I guess that's my main problem; I put everyone else before me.
Anyway, I'll most likely be moving to Raleigh. There's a 90% chance I would say. I don't guess it'll be completely finalized until mid-April, though, so I'm still stressed out about it. I hate not knowing what's going to happen or when it's going to happen.
