He stretched out in the bed, instinctively reaching out to the empty spot. He sighed as he felt the empty space next to him. He missed him. Missed his touch, his smile, his warm body curled around him.
The phone was not enough. Talking everyday, but not seeing him...only made him miss him more. Hearing his voice, without seeing his face, without his embrace, was growing painful.
It had been three months since they'd last seen each other. And Chris could feel his body aching for him. Sighing, he knew he wasn't going to get any sleep in the bed. He grabbed his pillow and a blanket to head out to the couch. At least there, he could watch TV until the fatigue overtook him. 'Distance...sucks.' He thought, as he fought back the urge to cry.
He had just settled into the couch when a knock at the door startled him out of his depression. He shiffled to the door, wondering who would be disturbing him this late at night. Probably some "concerned" teammate, worried about his sanity.
He opened the door and his jaw dropped into a grin when he saw the man standing there.
"I know...I should have called...but I...I missed you." The other man managed before being swept into Chris's hungry embrace.
